Swiss Sanctions Update
Switzerland removed Ismail Barhoum from its Hamas/PIJ sanctions list. Barhoum, a member of the Hamas Political Bureau and Shura Council, is reportedly deceased, though he remains listed by the EU, UK, US, and Australia.
Additionally, Switzerland designated seven individuals connected to the RSF and SAF under its Sudan sanctions regime. This move aligns with the EU’s January 2026 designations in response to escalating violence in Sudan.
