US Sanctions Iraqi Oil Official and Iran-Linked Militias Under "Economic Fury" Campaign
The United States has expanded its Iran sanctions list by adding four individuals and four entities connected to Iraq's oil industry, as part of the ongoing "Economic Fury" campaign aimed at cutting off Iran's oil revenues.
The designations were issued under Executive Order 13902, which targets Iran's petroleum sector, and Executive Order 13224, directed at terrorist organizations and their financiers.

- Ali Maarji Al-Bahadly — Iraq's Deputy Minister of Oil, accused of diverting Iraqi oil products to sanctioned individuals and the terrorist militia Asa'ib Ahl Al-Haq (AAH)
- Mustafa Hashim Lazim Al-Behadili — leader and economic official of AAH
- Ahmed Khudair Maksus Maksus — former Deputy Secretary General of militia Kata'ib Sayyid al-Shuhada (KSS)
- Mohammed Issa Kadhim al-Shuwaili — senior KSS official
- Gulf Energy for General Transport and Marine Services and Real Estate Consultancy LLC
