Poland Sanctions 7 Crypto and Fintech Entities Enabling Russia to Bypass EU Financial Restrictions

Poland has designated 7 entities under its autonomous Russia sanctions list established by the Sanctions Act, targeting a network of cryptocurrency and fintech companies alleged to have enabled Russian citizens to move funds between Russia and the European Union in violation of existing sanctions. None of the entities were previously subject to EU-level designations.

Three of the designations target companies operating under the Mercuryo brand, managed by Cyprus-based MRCR Holdings Ltd:

  • MoneyAmber UAB (Lithuania)
  • Moneysail doo (Croatia)
  • MoneySwap OU (Estonia)

Polish payment company Quicko sp. z o. o. and its Russian subsidiary OOO Quicko have also been designated. Quicko's operating licence was revoked by Poland's Financial Supervision Authority in January 2026.

  • The remaining two designations cover UAB Trustee Global, a Lithuanian crypto platform, and OOO Koshelek.ru, a Russian cryptocurrency exchange.
